I would like a product manual.  Is there one for downloading or can you send me a hard copy?

Unfortunately, we do not have a manual for the software at the present time.  We are currently working on improving our product documentation as well as creating manuals for the software.  

Presently you can find help for the software within our extensive online knowledgebase http://www.dameware.com/support, the internal help files within the program (Press F1), or in our support forum http://forums.dameware.com.

How are your products sold?

Our products are sold via electronic registration only.

Retail sales are available on-line, by telephone, or by company Purchase Order.

How are DameWare products licensed?

All DameWare software is licensed per User, not per Computer, and there are no additional fees for client agents installed by the program.  Therefore, the number of licenses required must correspond with the actual number of people that will be running the software.   For example, if there are 10 technicians that will be running the software and connecting to 10,000 remote machines, only 10 licenses are required.

Each licensed user can have the software installed on up to three machines (eg. Desktop, Laptop, and Home Computer) and still be covered under his license, provided he is the only person running the software on these additional machines.  If anyone else will be running the software on the additional machines, an additional license for each additional person running the software is needed.

Also, there are no provisions for concurrent (or "Per Seat") usage.  Therefore, if there are a total of 25 different users that will be using the software, even if no more than 10 will be using it at any one time, or even if these 25 users will only be running the software from 10 distinct machines (or even a single Citrix or Terminal Server) 25 licenses are required.  Each individual user of the software must have a license.

How do I purchase with a company purchase order?

We can accept company use purchase orders for your licenses.  "Company Use" purchase orders are your company's standard method of purchasing and must come from your Purchasing Department.  It must contain the following information:

Company Name
Company Address
Company Purchase Order Number
Company Telephone Number
Contact Name
Contact Email Address
Contact Telephone Number

If any of the above information is missing from your Purchase Order, it could cause delays in processing your order.

Why are all sales final?

The purpose of our evaluation is to allow you to determine whether or not you would like to purchase our software.  Since our products are delivered electronically, there is nothing to return.

I placed an order on-line and have not received my new license information yet... Where is my license key?

If you have placed an order on our web site and have received confirmation, your registration information is forthcoming.  Each order is reviewed individually and processed manually to ensure accuracy.  Your registration information will be e-mailed to you.  It may be beneficial to archive this information for future reference.  If you do not receive registration information or an e-mail from our sales department by the next business day, please contact sales at sales@dameware.com.

How do I upgrade my existing  licenses?
With our new system (implemented on Sept 16th 2008) you must login in order to upgrade existing licenses.  Here are the steps you must take:

  • Create a login:

    HERE

    If you try to create a login and get the error that this email is already in use, your login may have already been created for you by a reseller purchase.  If this is the case, enter your email address and click the forgot password link.  A password will be automatically generated for you, and emailed to your account.

  • Once your account has been created, you will see a list of licenses.
    • If you see a list:
      Click on the license you want to upgrade and follow the instructions to add it to the cart.

    • If you do not see a list of licenses:
    • You should be directed to send an email to the sales department to move your licenses to the online system.
